Route planning on WebApp

Quote from Guido on 25.08.2020, 09:16Well, there is no route planning page at the moment. It's on the list of feature requests. Scenic does integrate with many other online route planners though. Have a look here for more details on that: https://scenic.app/knowledge-base/ways-sources-to-import/

Quote from cocko69 on 24.01.2021, 23:20Hi Guido - do you know when this is planned for ?
I have started using Rever more as it has the 'web-app' which is great for planning routes.
I MUCH prefer using scnenic on the motorcycle though.
I have tried exporting and imprting the GPX but get less than perfect results.
so - Back to the original question - do you know when this is planned for ?

Quote from Guido on 25.01.2021, 06:19Currently working hard on Scenic 3 and the Android version. Once those are ready the web planner is next. Sorry I can't be more precise at the moment.
Meanwhile I'm afraid working with other web planners is the way to go. Scenic integrates best with Kurviger, Google Maps and Furkot (see link I mentioned in my answer above).
If you own an M1 Mac (with Apple Silicon) then Scenic will run on that. (there are some problems with authentication at the moment but I’ll have those fixed in two weeks when I get my M1 Mac).

Quote from fxstein on 15.03.2021, 05:47Gotta add that the iPad is a great tool to plan routes in Scenic. Doing most of my planning on it.

Hi Guido, a remark and a question:
Importing gpx tracks from other sources works, and as you say, there are other good web planners. However, after import the differences between the original track and what Scenic makes of it must be fixed, especially when riding in a group. I find this very fiddly on the small phone screen, especially for long tracks. When you start on the web editor, request #1 from me would be to just have functionality for resolving these differences, since this is the one thing that cannot be done on other planners.
You mentioned that Scenic would work on M1 Macs. I get mine in a few days, so: did you get Scenic running on it, and can I use this for now to revolve differences after import?

Quote from Guido on 23.05.2021, 08:56Yep. Scenic runs on M1 Mac. There are still some minor things that don’t work but most of it works. You should be able to import and make corrections.
Also understand the remark/request for webapp route planning. Scenic 3 should already decrease the number of differences, but still planning to add a webapp route planner. It’s just that Scenic 3 and CarPlay support have priority.

Quote from johan2657 on 27.05.2021, 15:22Update - tested Scenic on M1 Mac, works quite well, interesting experience! Don't think my iMac will fit on my bike. Editing via's mostly works. Sometimes they get placed some distance from where you aimed the crosshairs, but moving them works fine so you can work around it. Zooming in works (double click), but I couldn't work out how to zoom out. Workaround: go to full route view and zoom in from there. Finally: downloading maps seems quite slow. Workaround: don't take your Mac offline 😉.
I understand these are not priorities for you at all, just thought I'd let you know. Cheers, Johan
