Public Map Warning

Hi all,

I’m sure 99% of you have thought about this but for that 1%. When creating routes which are made public make sure your start/stop points are not located at your home or work location. Even a cross street is safer than telling people your address and that you have a bike.

Yes!!! Thanks for the warning!!! Very good.

This is not only for public routes but also for routes & rides that you share through the 'share' button. I'm actually working on a feature to hide the first x km from a route / ride before sharing / making public.

If hiding or moving (!!) the first part of the trip, can you also include (an option for) the last part of the trip? It's usually the same place 😉

What I do is use a local restaurant as the start and/or destination near my home. Same thing, when routing to a friend’s house, I use a local high school.
It would be nice to be able to set up zones where the actual location is not shared, much like how it is set up in SpotWalla.
