problems with driving a scenic planed route with google maps

I haven't been a user of this app for so long and i hope for your help. So far I've used the app a few times and I'm thrilled. Therefore, I purchased the Premium version directly.
Soon I am planning a trip with friends and cars through the Alps. For this I have created separate day routes. My friends have Apple car play on the display on their dash and can only see the route in Google Maps (not in scenic) and drive after it. When I export my routes as a GPX file and import them into Google Maps, a strange graphic comes out (please see the screenshots for the comparison) . After this ad, my friends wouldn't be able to drive. How can I solve this problem? Thank you for your help!

Quote from Guido on 06.02.2021, 13:28As far as I know you can not import a GPX file into Google Maps and make it a navigable route. I'm assuming you are importing using Google My Maps... and as far as I know this only adds a layer to the map (i.e. draws a line), no navigation / directions. If I'm misunderstanding of if you are using a different process please let me know.
When you import a Scenic GPX (from a route) to Google My Map you will see several elements on the map. See this example. You'll want to take the BLUE route... not one of the black ones. (In the panel on the left, delete the black ones). I do not know why Google connects all the points with a black line (essentially making it a round trip), but there's nothing I can do about that.
So... when you choose the blue line you will have the correct route, but still you will not have turn by turn navigation instructions for that route in Google Maps (as far as I know). Maybe Google added some new functionality I do now know about. If so, I would be happy to hear about it.
I know this is not the answer you were looking for, but I hope it explains.
P.S. I am working on CarPlay support for Scenic. Once that's ready, your friends will also be able to use Scenic on their Car display and you won't need to migrate to another app.

I really look forward to see Scenic on my car play display!
Best regards Oliver
