Disable “follow the road” temporarily when modifying imported routes.

Brilliant app buddy. I use it for all my ride planning and navigation and have put a lot of others onto it.
One thing I struggle with, is being able to manually modify an imported route. For example if scenic does not recognise a section of road / track as a navigable road then I would like to be able to manually draw a line between two points, to complete a route. At the moment this feature doesn’t seem to be available. Maybe we could have a button to temporarily disable the “follow the road” function ? Scenic will usually instead try to navigate around the obstacle rather than following a road that it thinks doesn’t exist which can be very frustrating.

Understand what you mean. Unfortunately this is currently not possible to 'draw' the route. I will see if I can add this for Scenic 3 though. Meanwhile, you have a couple of workarounds.

Hi,
I've been using Gaia and Ride With GPS but the Scenic's interface is the best. As I ride 'adventure' style routes I would also really like to overwrite the routing to follow a trail by drawing the line manually. 'Ride With GPS' has this and it works well. It basically switched from a route to a track for that segment.
