Changing Route without stopping the ride

Hi there,

I may have missed this functionality, but here is my question:

i often prepare multiple variants before my driving day, saving them as different roads.
And I would like to keep the trace of my driving’s by recording rides, having 1 ride per day.

When I ride, I start the first road, and create a ride by navigating it. But then if I want to change the road in the course of the day, I can’t do it without stoping my ride .

this is a pity, because at the end of the day, my driving has been split into multiple rides (and we can’t assemble rides so far).

so what I would like to do if record a ride for the full day, but being able to change road without stopping the ride.
i hope that my question is clear…

thanks in advance for your help

Alain

Hi Alain,

Understand the question. Got a similar question just today. Have a look here: https://scenic.app/forum/topic/stop-during-a-navigation/

Hope it helps.
Cheers,

Guido

Hi Guido,

Actually I saw the post you are quoting before posting my question.

It’s not exactly what I meant.
what I would like to do do is pausing the ride, loading a full road, and then navigate this new road  while resuming the ride.

what I see on the solution you are quoting is that it allows to edit the road currently being navigated, my not really loading a different one…

tell me if I have misunderstood…

thanks a lot in advance d’or your help

cheers- Alain

Hi Alain,

I understand now. Indeed it is currently not possible to load a new/other route during a navigation session. I am planning to add this feature in Scenic 3: https://scenic.app/knowledge-base/scenic-3-info/

Cheers,
Guido
