I’m very proud to announce that with Scenic it’s now possible to navigate along Curvy roads to your destination and create routes with Curvy roads between the via points.
Thanks to a partnership with Kurviger.de this has been made possible. On their website you could already create Curvy routes and import them into Scenic through GPX, but now their Curvy routing is directly available in Scenic as well.
So, how does it work? Well, very easy. Next to the old ‘Fast’, ‘Short’ and ‘Efficient’ routing modes, another button appeared: ‘Curvy’. There are even 3 levels of Curvy-ness, to choose from.
On top of that, if you prefer to design routes on your Desktop, Scenic & Kurviger have made it much easier to send a route to Scenic from Kurviger. It only takes a few clicks.
So, go ahead, give it a try, and enjoy the ride!
Cheers,
Guido
Excellent work!
Great addition Guido. Took a bit of a detour on my commute home the other night. Lot of fun with curvy roads
I just tried that out: great! The Very-curvy-feature on kurviger.de finds most of exactly the same roads I would have chosen as a local. And the import into scenic is just two clicks – much easier than the export and import with gpx.
Hi Guido, I am embarking on a cross boarder trip with a friend who has all our routing in his gps. He will send me the file and I will import into scenic. This will make for an excellent comparison and a great back-up.
I am new to the app and hopefully can use it with voice guidance.
How do I check how many credits I have?
If I go over my 25 initial and am happy with the application, then I will use this in lieu of a dedicated GPS.
Thank you.
Sounds like a good comparison indeed. You can see the remaining credits in Settings -> In App Purchases. Let me know how it went!
