Strange behavior when creating routes
Hi there,
From time to time, Scenic is creating strange loops. (See attached)
i am adding more Via points to try to force it to go straight, but it does not work.
Routing is set to “efficient” and curvy to “fast”.any idea why?

Oh, by the way Guido, à question related to maps, if I may: is there any possibility, or hope, to use Michelin maps with Scenic? I would even be happy to pay an extra fee for such a feature...
I have been using those maps on paper since I can drive (and that’s some decades now...) and to me they are the most informative and useful to design and tailor my routes.
Being able to use a powerful app like Scenic with those precise maps would be a perfect match for me...
I am afraid that it I s a dream, but what does it cost to ask?...

I'm afraid that's not on the horizon at the moment. I'm switching Scenic to a new map and routing provider for next season, but that's not Michelin. The Michelin framework (used to integrate maps in mobile applications) is quite limited and wouldn't serve all the functionality that Scenic offers at the moment.
Hi Guido, I have used Michelin maps (paper) for years and years. Michelin is highlighting curvy and scenery routes with a green colour. Very beautiful roads to ride. Is it possible to have an overlay of theses green roads from Michelin? Would be really a valuable add. BTW, thanks for the perfect Scenic app !!
a layer is definitely possible from technical perspective. I’ll add this to the list to investigate licensing and technical details/available formats around this.
