Route Management

Hi, I'm new to Scenic.

After the first 2 weeks of useage I have some questions in using the app.

I try to explain.
May it could be a fault by myself.

First
Is is possible to use subfolders to manage routes?
I have some routes for my local usage.
Additional some for the next holidays.
And some wich I received from others.
I would like to put them in different subfolders.
Now I have a list of at least 50 routes
and have to give them special names to find the right one.

Second:
On my last trip we had a traffic jam and had to reroute.
It work fine but somehow we lost some points at the end of the route.
Means we were routed on a Motorway to reach our target.

Third:
Normaly when I started a roundtrip I split up the route into my favorite destinations.
When I reached one, I pick up the next one  in order of time and weather conditions.
In this case,  I have to finish the route, save my tracked data and have to start a new route.
Is it possible to start a new part directly to extent my track data to the hole route.
Hope you understand what I mean.

At all, it's a great app and I'm looking forward for Version 3 and it's additional features.

Greetings,
Michael

Morning Michael

I can answer your first question. One of the best parts of Scenic is the file management. On the 'Routes' page, at the bottom on the righthand side, is a menu icon, looks like 3 dots in a row. Tap on that and it brings up a sub menu with 'Add Folders' and 'Organise'. Add a folder. To add files to this folder select 'Organise'  and then drag your files into the folder. You can add / delete / rename folders. As far as I can see you cannot have folders within folders.

Hi Michael,

Is is possible to use subfolders to manage routes?

As @PeteRT already explained above... yes this is possible. The 'Folders' section in the tutorial video shows how this works.  In case you are German, there's also a German Tutorial Video.

we were routed on a Motorway to reach our target.

There are some configuration options for detour behaviour. Have a look at Settings > Navigation & Tracking > Detour Behaviour and Settings > Navigation & Tracking > Via Point Pro mode.

Is it possible to start a new part directly to extent my track data to the hole route.

Yes. Have a look at this forum topic: stop during a navigation

If you're enjoying Scenic and are happy with the support, please leave a nice rating in the App Store. It would mean a lot to me ❤️

Hi Guido,

thanks for the quick response.
Your right, I'm German.

Now I found those 3 dots to add a subfolder. Perfect!

I changed the options to via mode pro and will test it next time.

The answer to my 3rd quetsion was in an additional post today.
Was the same issue.
Looking forward for Version3.

Greetings,

Michael
