map style

 

I am still trying out the app before committing to pay for services. When trying to change the map style setting the app stuck and the only apparent way out was to delete the app and the saved data. I wondered if this might be a one off so I reloaded the app and the same happened again. So I've downloaded the app for a third time and am just avoiding map styles. Maybe this is just an option for paying customers but it would be preferable just to get a message rather than the app crash.

Otherwise very impressed with your app. Shame there's limited opportunity to test it out with the current lockdown.

Hi Rod,

Thats definitely is not normal. Map Stule is a free feature and you should be able to just tap on once to choose it.

There are currently some problems with the ‘wheel’ disappearing so that you can’t go to other screens anymore. This is an only an issue for iPhones running iOS12.

Couple of follow up questions.
- What device are you using and what iOS version is it running?

- Is it only happening for map styles or also for other sub menus? (E.g. Appearance > Distance & Speed Unit)

- Does the app really crash, or do you get stuck with no way to move to other screen? (If the latter, you don’t have to remove the entire app, you can also just ‘kill’ it by swiping up in the app switcher)

Im releasing an app update this week to deal with the above mentioned iOS 12 issue. Will also take your answers into account.

I am using an Iphone 5s with software version 12.4.5

Yes, the screen just gets stuck. If I click on the home button on the phone and then back on the app, I am back on this stuck screen.

The same happens with Appearance.

My daughter has kindly just shown me how to swipe up to shut down the app, which I can then reopen normally.
