Hi All, I am setting up an IPad mini to mount on the dash of my bike as a GPS. Does any one know what IOS is required to run the Scenic app??

According to the App Store the iPad requires iPadOS 12.1 or later.

Please also note that the iPad should be the cellular version. Only cellular version have a GPS receiver. The ones that can not take a SIM card do not have a GPS receiver.

Thanks, I was going to hot spot my phone to it & my phone will be in my tank bag. I’m wondering if this will still work without it having it’s own sim?

It doesn’t need a sim inside. But it must have a sim card slot. Those are the only models that have a GPS receiver. The GPS signal is not shared through a hotspot.
