iOS Lock Screen Notification

Just downloaded Scenic & I am trying it out -- I went on my first ride with it today and it worked very well! I imported a ride from Kurviger. Worked mostly very well.
I am excited for the Scenic route planning webapp -- that should make things a lot easier to plan the ride using Scenic.
Anyway, I have a question regarding the iOS lock screen notification. I have not seen an option in Scenic to allow a pop up notification when the iPhone is locked to give you a heads up of an upcoming turn.
Is this possible?

Sorry, this is currently not possible and honestly have not foreseeN to add this feature. Is this something you would use on a regular basis / what would be the scenario to use this? Do you know of an app that does this? Apple Maps maybe?

Apple Maps does this very well, and as an added bonus since it's an Apple app you can just click any button to turn on the screen and the navigation shows up on the lock screen you don't have to unlock the phone for it. But I do not think this is possible with 3rd party apps.
An example of what I'm thinking of is something like Google Maps. If you are navigating with the phone locked, it will wake up the screen and give you a notification that a turn is coming up so this will get your attention so you can unlock the phone to see the full directions.
Scenario to use this would be quite frequent, as it would allow you to keep the phone locked to conserve power, and just be notified when a turn is coming up. If you have a route with lots of turns, of course you just leave the phone unlocked, but let's say you are out on a country road and the next turn is not for 30 miles.
What I would do in this case is check my ODO and make a mental note at what mileage the turn is coming up and then lock my phone to conserve power.
The notification would make this easier and more fullproof in cases where you are traveling on the same road for a while before the next turn comes up.
OK... if the main objective is to conserve power (which I understand) I think there is a better option. I used to have that in Scenic 1 and I'm planning to add this to Scenic 2 again too.
If the next turn instruction is far away the Scenic would dim the brightness to 10% (almost same as locked phone) and only when next turn instruction gets close (or you deviate from the route / or you touch the screen) the brightness is turned back up. This has a big advantage over the lock screen thing (which would theoretically also be possible of course) in that you don't need to touch the screen for any of this (pushing on/off or home button and entering your unlock code while riding (as Face ID won't work with helmet on) can potentially be dangerous).
That would be awesome!
