Invalid via point

when I want Scenic to create a round tour it often shows “invalid via point” after calculating resulting in not creating a route but only showing via points.
what goes wrong and how to avoid this?

This usually happens when one of the via points can not be snapped to a road. (i.e. it's not on a road that Scenic knows).
The way round trip (and also curvy route generation for that matter) work, is that Scenic contacts Kurviger. Kurviger sends back a list of via points based on the options you provider (like round trip direction and avoidances, etc). Scenic then tries to calculate a route between these via points (road snapping is one of the first steps in this calculation). Kurviger has slightly different map data, so it's possible that Kurviger provides a via point on a road that Scenic does not know.
What is strange though is that it works on your iPad and not always on your iPhone, which makes me thing that perhaps the offline map packages on your iPhone are out of sync with the map version. Could you try to delete the offline map packages you have there? Then try a route generation again and see if that works. Then, re-download the offline maps and try yet again.
Let me know how it goes

It didn’t help. But then I considered that I installed Scenic long ago on my iPhone. So after reinstalling the app everything works fine now.
So problems solved.
