Combining 2 or multiple routes

Hi!

Is there a possibility or workaround to combine two or multiple routes with different styles (i.e. fast/short/efficient/fast curvy/curvy/extra curvy) into one overall route?

So far I love Scenic and the impressive functionality, but having different parts like, e.g.,

from home get fast to a particular access point and then
from there I take a curvy mountain road, and then
efficient back home

into one route would be awesome. That is the only feature that I miss from calimoto so far.

I'm afraid that’s currently not possible directly. That’s because Scenic’s routing provider only allows one routing mode per route (so Scenic will take the mode that was used when the route was designed). There are a couple of workarounds for the moment:

- Edit the route before you start it (include your start and destination to the route and add via points to force the roads you want)

- Alternatively, tap the start button with the route and the default ‘guidance to start’. Then, when in navigation mode, move the map a little bit so you’ll go to edit mode. Now you can add a via point (to force the route away from the highway) by tapping on the map where you want to place the via point. Then when at the end of the route, continue the ride and add your destination through the same edit mode.

Both not ideal, but it’s the best I can do for now. I’m looking into another routing provider for Scenic 3 (next season).
