cannot connect to server

I have been having trouble with login on my iPhone for a new account. It says cannot connect to server whenever I try. Also when attempting to download maps there is a similar message. I have tried to delete and reinstall the app but no luck. iPhone XR running IOS 13.7
I really love the app though when it was working for me, thanks for helping to share so many great rides!

Hi Paul,
Server seems up and running and have not received any other feedback so far. I did see a notice in the log files (pretty harmless), but I made a small change on the server just to be sure. Could you give it another try?
If it's still not working please let me know.
I did have another user a few days ago who had some problems with downloading offline maps. When he updated iOS to iOS14 all started working again. I suspect this was just coincidence, but wanted to tell you anyway. You never know.

Very weird. I just tried myself (iOS 14.1) to create a dummy account to see if it would work, and I was able to create the account without problems. Also downloading an offline map worked normally.
Could it be something with the connection on your side? Perhaps a firewall, or VPN? Perhaps give it a try over cellular (turn off WiFi)?
turns out my vpn (Nord) was automatically turning on IOS vpn in the background. not sure what this setting was but I had to log out of Nord and scenic started working again. glad to get it sorted out, thank you
Glad its working now. I use Nord myself but have it turned off most of the time as it seems to interfere with quite a bit of services.
found the cyberSec setting in Nord causes IOS vpn to always stay on, even when you manually switch it off in settings, Nord is able to turn it back on instantly.
