The blue dotted line is the route exactly as Google Maps created your route. The magenta line is what Scenic makes from it. Mostly they should be the same, but sometimes there can be differences. Why are there differences? Because Scenic uses a different routing algorithm from Google (in fact, all maps and apps use their own algorithm), resulting in Scenic sometimes taking different roads between A and B.

Mostly, the best approach to resolve these differences, is to:
1. remove all via points that are not on the blue line (tap via point in question and tap 'trash can' button in bubble that appears)
2. check the result. there's probaly still some stretches where blue line differs from magenta line. So, we need to force the Scenic routing (the magenta line) to take the road where the blue line is. We can do this by adding a via point on the blue line. To add a via point between two existing points: position the map so that the crosshair is where you want the via point to be. Then, tap the "Via #' button. It will now ask you to tap the marker before the new via point (in other words, the marker after which the new marker should go).

I hope this explains. If not, please let me know. Perhaps you could include a screenshot in this case. Or, better yet, some screenshots ánd the Google URL so I can try and reproduce here on my side.

You don't need to do anything in that case. Scenic follows the magenta line, because that's the line that Scenic determines turn-by-turn instructions for.

What version of Scenic are you running? You can see version number at bottom of Settings tab. In the latest version (2.4.1) the map version was updated.

If you are not running 2.4.1 yet, could you go to the App Store Scenic page and update the app from there. After update, when you startup Scenic, follow the red badges (go to 'Me' tab > Premium & Offline Maps > Offline Maps > 'Update Map Version'). Then you'll have to re-download your offline maps.

Well I deleted the app and re-downloaded all the maps.  Something interesting happened I was able to get the same result as you but when I went to import my next day the app asked if I wanted to fix my errors automatically or manually; however as I went to import my 3rd day that didn't happen even though discrepancies existed.  I thought I would let you know.
