Assembling rides
Hi there,
I enjoy scenic for a lot of things, including recording my rides I enjoy to come back to it and to remember my trips. But sometimes, I stop recording the ride at the end of navigation a segment. Then start recording again, etc..
bottom line is that very often my days’s riding is actually split in 2 or more recorded rides. Thus the question: is there a way to concatenation 2 or more rides in a single one?

at the moment there is not, but it’s on the list to add that feature. I’ve had more requests for this.

I would gladly take advantage of this feature as well. Absolutely.
Same here. Happens a lot, especially since the navigation options within a ride a more limited.
So at times i pull over, exit the ride, go into route planning to select where to head next with the routing options I like for the next segment.
Might also be an option to let me continue a previously started ride.
I have seen you can use Overview to search for and add a location even after a planned ride has completed. My suggestion is that, during a pause in riding, the user could visit the overview tab, and then be able to select either a new ride or an imported .gpx file, all the while continuing ride tracking, resulting in a single ride.

I really appreciate your work, product and support. Thanks a lot for that. I’m also looking forward to v3 (no rush) and just wonder if the track merge feature is still on your to-do list? For sure it would improve my workflow and would allow me to mange all my rides in one tool only.

itnis on the list but won’t be in there from the beginning. I want to get Acenic 3 out there ASAP so it will mostly contains same functionality as Scenic 2 with a few quick wins and obviously the biggest change… the new maps.
