156 mi loop from Bee Caves/Lake Travis west down Hamilton Pool Rd to Round Mountain, south on US281 south to RR1321 to Willow City, south on State Highway 16 to Pecan Grove Store for lunch. Then return via SH16 through Fredericksburg , then east on US290 through Johnson City to Dripping Springs, south on RR12, west scenery and FM1620 to SH45, then north on Mopac into South Austin. An interesting mix of twisty country roads and state highways, all with good surfaces and lots of beautiful Texas Hill Country scenery.
