How to Compare a Scenic Ride with a Route Using BaseCamp

Sometimes when I ride my motorcycle, I get sidetracked. Maybe I just missed a turn, and decided not to go back. Sometimes I have to detour around a low-water crossing, or other road closure. The good news is that Scenic is tracking my ride, so I can go back and compare it to the route that I had planned, especially if my unplanned changes turned out to be better than the original plan. Currently, there is no function in Scenic to compare a single ride with its related route. However, Guido is considering adding it. In the meantime, this presentation shows how to export the ride and route from Scenic and compare them using BaseCamp. The following PDF shows exactly how to do this, step by step.
