Using iPad for planning
Quote from johansw on 19.04.2021, 16:24My brother in law will start using Scenic, and wonders which iPad is the oldest model still handling Scenic as he must buy a new, second hand, one.
When planning a route on iPhone, the route refused to pass a point on the road. Zooming in and testing, it problem point seemed to be underneath a green label for road number. We guess this as the route passed this point on my iPad where the labels were very placed differently. Strange - could this be the explanation?
Thanks for any answers 🙂

- iPad Air 1, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro (12.9, 2015), iPad Pro (9.7), iPad 2017, iPad Pro (10.5), iPad Pro (12.9, 2017), iPad 2018
- iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4

Quote from kn0xster on 20.04.2021, 06:06You would be better using furkot or something like that for planning and then importing it later into Scenic. The integration is already there in Scenic and works really well. Also planning using Furkot is done via a web browser so it should work on most tablets these days.

As for planning, I guess I will continue using and recommend Scenic as I am highly satisfied with this product (having tried many others) in most respects. I am looking forward to the new maps - the encountered "hickup" and similar might then be history 🙂
