Shortcuts

When running down the road on the lower right of the screen is the button that pulls up all the options (settings, music control, map options, etc. ) I can't find any information on how to use the two buttons at the top labeled "Shortcut 1" and "Shortcut 2"

Any information would be appreciated.

There is a short explanation in the footer text of the 'Navigation Menu' section of the Settings. Basically, you can assign a shortcut from Apple's "Shortcuts" app to these buttons.
