How do I ride with the map zoomed out?

Huge Scenic fan and have used it since version 1. You used to be able to zoom out to show the overall route or a large section of it and ride with it that way. I dont appear to be able to do this with the new current version having only one view level. I can zoom out in edit mode but once start riding it reverts to close up mode again. For me makes it hard to see upcoming turns or sections that may have been added in by route. Any thoughts?

You can zoom out permanently with on-screen zoom buttons. By default these are disabled/hidden though. You can enable them through Settings > Navigation & Tracking > Show Zoom Buttons
