Feature reguest: change start/finish location to any waypoint in editor
Quote from Scenic_NL on 08.04.2020, 02:29Hi Guido,
I've mailed about this in the past and I was wondering if this is still in the works 🙂 Loving the latest version of Scenic b.t.w.
It would be great if it'd be possible to chance the start location in route editor and renumber the waypoints from there. I'm for instance looking for roundtrips near my hometown in public routes. Often I find routes that start somewhere else and pass my hometown. It feels a bit silly to drive to a different city to start and end a route.
Or is this already possible and am I not using editor right?
Thanks!

This would really be a very usefull feature for me too!
Sometimes, if a route has numbers of via's it is very time consuming to recreate the tour. If you could only change Start and renumber the via, that would be perfect!
Thank you very much for considering.

Recently I was on a ride and due to a closed road I missed a waypoint (not for the first time). I'd really appreciate the ability to skip a waypoint while riding. Currently I have to stop and red0 the route.
Apart from that I love the App. I just have to be wary of the dirt roads is selects for me here in Thailand, as some would challenge a mountain goat.

Quote from Guido on 29.05.2020, 06:31@andy_fennell Have you tried the ‘skip next via’ and the ‘blocked road’ buttons in the navigation menu?
It will also ask you to skip the next via point if it detects a detour and you choose recalculate.
All this does not work for round trips and curvy routes generated in the main screen. If you want these options you’ll have to create the route through the routes tab.

I have familiarized myself with the Road Block option, very helpful, also when entire roads are suddenly closed off (Corona Measures...). Isn't there also an option to chance the apps default behaviour when missing a via point (from directing back to skipping one)?

And you've done it! It works really well too. Great addition to Scenic.
