Quote from Guido on 07.07.2020, 10:36Uhmmm... If they are still showing that's a bug. I checked the code but can't find anything out of the ordinary. Remove POI groups should not show. Would you mind sending me some screenshots? One of the route editor where the 'show layers' menu is open and one of the locations tab where the personal poi group section is expanded? You can use the 'add media' button at the top the panel when you reply to this post.

Hopefully I followed your instructions properly. The issue is with the points in the 2020 tour of honor group. I uploaded a GPX with all of these points in it… And I delete them as I visit them. They disappear from the list, but they continue to show up on the map when I build a route. If it makes a difference, I had also uploaded them as custom POI’s… But as you can see, I deleted all of those as I learned a little bit more about the Scenic app.

Quote from Guido on 07.07.2020, 11:29OK. Understand now. So, basically you accidentally imported them as separate locations in stead of POI Group. And now they are showing on the map whenever you turn on locations in the 'Show on Map' panel. This is expected behaviour. When you switch location on there, it will show all your locations, including the ones in subfolders like the 2020 tour of honor. Since it's currently not possible to delete an entire folder with its content, would you like me to do that for you? So, I mean, would you like me to delete the '2020 tour of honer' locations folder, including all the locations it holds? If so, what's you Scenic nickname?

Quote from BcOneSeven on 07.07.2020, 12:17So I don't think I was clear.... The points are showing on the map, despite me having deleted them. As near as I can tell, the locations/POIs don't exist anywhere in any list. If I am wrong, point me in that direction and I will go in and manually delete them (again). What I would like, if possible, is for ONLY things in the MY LOCATIONS, 2020 TOUR OF HONOR, etc. to show on the map. Presently, all points--even ones that I have already deleted are showing. No, please don't delete the folder at this point. If there is no way to not show the ones that have already been deleted, then I will just work around it until next year!

Quote from Guido on 07.07.2020, 13:38OK. I just did a test. Turned on 'Show Locations' in Route Editor screen and picked a specific location that I did not need anymore. I went to locations tab and deleted it from there (it was in the 'Recents' folder in my case). After deleting, I went back to create route, and could there was no marker on that spot anymore. So, in my case it seemes to work.
Perhaps the 'recents' folder is the key here. The 'recents' folder is a 'smart' folder. It store the 15 most recent locations you navigated too. Locations are added to that folder automatically. Even if you delete one of those locations from your other folders, it will still remain in your recents (if it was already there).
Currently it's not possible to turn on/off the 'Show Locations' per folder. You either show all locations (regardless of what folder they are in) or you don't.
Hope I understood correctly now 🙂 If not, please let me know.

Quote from BcOneSeven on 13.07.2020, 19:47OK, as you can see… There is nothing at all in the recent’s folder. If you look at the two screenshots as examples, those points don’t exist anymore anywhere as near as I can tell. I deleted them sometime ago. Hoping that the information in the screenshot might help you figure out where they are. I guess it would be helpful to be able to delete points from the map screen. Sure would solve this problem.
