Accuracy of driving velocity

Hi @guidomm,

A nice and very useful app!
I was wondering if anyone has ever done a driving velocity validation between the velocity measured by Scenic-APP and the actual GPS speed? Does Scenic also use the internal sensors of the device or only GPS velocity?

I noticed a difference between phones when I tour with friends.

HI Koen,

Scenic takes the speed as it is reported bij iOS internal coding frameworks. This is based on GPS and motion sensors as well. It's possible there are small discrepancies between you and your friends, but there shouldn't be too much differences with you and your bike's speedometer for example.
